TRNDS is an established sneaker and streetwear retailer originally based in Romford, Essex, selling authenticated sneakers and premium streetwear from brands including Nike, Asics, Saucony, New Balance, Supreme and FOG Essentials.

In November 2024, with rising rents and overheads, the founders approached Sabre Digital to grow their online revenue. They came to us directly after hearing about results Sabre had delivered for other brands in the sneaker niche, including resolving Google Ads suspensions and scaling ecommerce revenue profitably.

What followed was a 14-month partnership that transformed TRNDS from a retail-first business into a fully digital brand. Within months, the founders closed their physical store entirely and went all in on ecommerce. It was one of the fastest retail-to-digital transitions we have been part of.

Phase 1 - December 2024

Move Fast. Capture December.

TRNDS came onboard with peak trading days away. Sabre resolved a Google Ads suspension, optimised the store and launched paid traffic within days.

Before anything could go live, Sabre had to resolve a Google Ads account suspension. TRNDS had been flagged for a false counterfeit goods violation, a common issue in the sneaker resale niche. The founders had been unable to resolve it. Sabre has dealt with this exact issue multiple times and knew the compliance framework and appeal process required. The suspension was lifted and campaigns went live.

Sabre conducted a rapid store optimisation, aligned policies for Google Ads compliance and launched a targeted campaign within days of onboarding.

In December alone, TRNDS generated over 2x the total online revenue they had achieved across the entire previous 11 months combined. In Q1 2025, the founders closed their physical store and went all in on ecommerce.

Phase 2 - Q1 2025

Rebuild From the Ground Up.

Sabre rebuilt the entire TRNDS Shopify store from scratch with 90% custom code, AI imagery and a conversion-first architecture.

The rebuild included custom-coded front-end sections, a product upload guide for proper catalogue segmentation, and media guidelines for optimised imagery.

Every element was designed around conversion: social proof placement, high-quality copy, intuitive navigation, streamlined checkout and mobile-first architecture. The sneaker market is visually competitive, so the store needed to feel premium and editorial while being fast and functional.

Phase 3 - Q1 2025

Google Ads Relaunch.

With the new store live, Sabre relaunched Google Ads using the performance data gathered during December to inform the strategy. We applied the 80/20 principle, focusing budget on the products proven to convert and cutting spend on underperformers.

The campaign architecture included Performance Max, Search, Brand Search and a blank PMax campaign structure designed to capture intent across the full Google ecosystem. Each campaign was built around profitability, not just traffic volume.

We also optimised the product feed within Google Merchant Center to improve click-through rates. In the sneaker market, most retailers use identical stock images from suppliers. Sabre worked with TRNDS to differentiate their product imagery within Shopping results, making their listings stand out against competitors using the same catalogue.

Phase 4 - February 2025

Klaviyo Lifecycle Marketing.

In February 2025, Sabre introduced Klaviyo email and SMS marketing to build a retention system alongside paid acquisition. The goal was to capture site visitors into an owned audience and convert them through automated lifecycle flows.

We set up mailing list capture across the site, built out the core automated flows including welcome series, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase and win-back sequences, and began building a segmented email list from day one.

Within 9 months, Klaviyo generated almost six figures of attributed revenue for TRNDS, built a subscriber list of over 6,000 people and became a significant revenue channel operating entirely on autopilot alongside the paid campaigns.

Phase 5 - September 2025

Meta Ads Launch.

With Google Ads and Klaviyo generating consistent revenue and data, Sabre introduced Meta Ads in September 2025 to open a second paid acquisition channel. Rather than starting cold, we used the performance data from Google, Shopify analytics and Klaviyo subscriber behaviour to build the initial campaign architecture.

This data-informed approach meant the Meta campaigns drove results from day one instead of the typical 2-4 week learning phase most brands experience.

Creative testing was structured around AI-generated ad content, social proof from customer reviews, founder-shot content from the TRNDS team and winning organic posts repurposed for paid. Each creative angle was tested methodically to identify what resonated with the sneaker audience on Instagram and Facebook.

Phase 6 - Q4 2025

Q4 Scaling. Record After Record.

With all systems in place, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Klaviyo and a high-converting Shopify store, Sabre scaled TRNDS aggressively through Q4 2025. Every month broke the previous month's revenue record.

Optimisation was continuous. Sabre reviewed performance weekly, sometimes daily, adjusting budgets, creative, bidding and targeting based on live data. Triple Whale was used alongside platform analytics to monitor true profitability and ensure scaling decisions were grounded in profit, not just revenue.

TRNDS achieved multiple six-figure revenue months with six-figure net profit in Q4 alone. ROAS exceeded 10x across Q4, with conversion rates holding above 2% throughout the scaling period, a strong benchmark for the sneaker and streetwear market.

What Comes Next.

In 2026, Sabre and TRNDS are building on the foundation with the latest innovations in AI, SEO and ecommerce growth strategy. The target is clear: a seven-figure Q4.

We have introduced AI-generated branded content across the store and product pages, creating lifestyle imagery that shows products in context, making the store feel more premium and editorial. Klaviyo flows are being rebuilt using lightweight HTML structures to improve deliverability across all devices. Google Ad spend is being scaled profitably into new product categories. And Sabre is working with TRNDS to source complementary products from the Far East to increase average order value and margin through high-quality add-ons.

Organic search is the next major growth lever. Sabre is building out a full SEO and GEO strategy for TRNDS covering technical fundamentals, on-page optimisation, content architecture and AI search visibility. This includes drop radar pages for upcoming releases that capture search intent before products land, blog content targeting long-tail sneaker queries, brand and category information pages, FAQ schema and buying guides. The goal is to build a content moat that drives free traffic alongside paid, reducing dependency on ad spend over time.

As AI-powered search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews increasingly answer purchase-intent queries directly, brands that are not optimised for these platforms will lose visibility. Sabre is positioning TRNDS to be cited and recommended by AI search tools through structured content, authority signals and entity optimisation, not just traditional keyword rankings.

Beyond organic, Sabre is gearing the store up for international expansion. EU markets are the first target with localised pricing, shipping and compliance, followed by a US expansion push. The infrastructure, logistics and ad architecture are being planned now to scale internationally without breaking what already works domestically.

Sabre is also developing bespoke business software for TRNDS to solve a problem unique to the sneaker resale market: fluctuating stock prices make traditional P&L tracking almost impossible. The platform we are building gives the founders a clear dashboard covering real-time inventory tracking, buy lists based on fastest-moving products, profit and loss reporting that accounts for variable purchase costs, flat rate VAT calculations, international order exclusions for VAT purposes, aged stock reports to flag slow movers and full attribution tracking across all channels. The goal is to give the founders one place to see exactly what is making money, what is not and where to focus next, so they can spend their time moving the needle instead of buried in spreadsheets.
